ABOUT ME

SPAWN of the DRAGON

Artist • Crocheter • Programmer • Writer • Poet

Hello! My name is Aurem, I use they/them pronouns and I am a young queer student looking to develop my artistic talent. This is my website, self-programmed, and I plan to go into software development as a career after education.

I've worked with a variety of mediums, included but not limited to clay, papier-mâché, acrylic paint, oil pastel, and charcoal, as well as digital artwork, the medium which I specialize in.

My artistic career started in 2020, shortly after the COVID-19 pandemic hit, and picked up further in 2024. Art became something I did on the side to unwind and cope with difficult times and emotions, and eventually grew to be something I took great pride in. I take inspiration from many artists around me, as well as my family, friends, and even other interests.

My writing began developing around the same time, however I really started to tap into creative writing in 2025, starting ambitious projects and semi-regularly writing poetry. I gain a lot of inspiration from the works of Edgar Allan Poe.

Art is a large part of my life, and I hope to use my work to inspire young artists who don't know where to start. It's never easy to pick up the pencil, but it's just as difficult to put it back down.

My favorite things to draw include dragons and characters from my favorite shows or games, as is likely evident by my portfolio.

As I move forward in life, I hope to use my personal growth as well as past experiences as an opportunity to further my portfolio and try new mediums or techniques.
